Tom Macchia
Co-founder & President
Tom Macchia has spent nearly two decades making technology work for growing organizations. He started in 2007 as a Network Administrator, building his career on the practical side of IT, keeping systems running, solving hard problems, and learning firsthand how technology decisions hit the bottom line. From 2014 to 2019, he built and led a virtual CIO practice at a regional managed service provider, delivering strategic technology leadership to clients who needed more than break-fix support. That experience shaped the thesis behind Technology Navigators: growing businesses that had outgrown break-fix IT but couldn’t justify a full-time CIO needed a trusted partner at the table. In 2019, he and John Goehrig Jr. founded TechNav to close that gap. Today, Tom leads fractional CIO engagements, vendor strategy, and AI-powered operations for clients who need senior technology leadership at the table.

A passion for technology and a drive to go above and beyond for clients. John began his tech career over 25 years ago as a Network Technician in the healthcare sector, and has since made a name for himself helping companies across industries adopt new technologies. In 2009 he founded the IT startup GHA Technology, a managed service provider based in NJ, which he successfully ran for over nine years. In 2019, he and partner Tom Macchia started Technology Navigators with a mission to provide an elite level of service and expertise to those in need.
